Check out this sci-fi short by Planet Splat.  ALIEN X is on a mission to explore the universe, he travels across the stars and finds many strange creatures along the way.  One animal, a female Earthling, inspires him.  He must decide to fulfill his orders, or do what he feels is right.  A thinking science fiction.
